Picturesque views that the balconies have to offer, make these spaces a great place to unwind and relax. It is natural to wonder if there are elements that you can add to enhance the ambiance of your balcony and help you curl up and relax even better. By the end of this blog, you’ll know what elements you can bring in to amp up the feel of your balcony.
1.Furniture
If you want to be able to relax on your balconies, you need to bring in something to sit on. You can bring in a small coffee table and a seat, you could use ottomans in the space or you could use the floor innovatively with cushions and pillows. A table and a seat can be a nice way to use balconies for anniversary dinners, date nights, etc. You can also bring in swings and swinging chairs that are shaped like an egg to curl up on a misty evening.
Try to use space-saving furniture like folding chairs, multipurpose coffee tables, nesting tables, etc. That way you can make the most of the given space.
2.Greenery
Bring in plants in pots, or as creepers to your balcony spaces. Ample sunlight will help them grow well and the greenery will help elevate the way your balcony looks.
3. Walls
Make complete use of the walls on your balcony. Add pieces of art from your collection, fabrics, paintings, or other wall decor items to bring a chic look to your balcony. You could also paint them yourself and add a personal touch to your balcony walls. You could also use mirrors for the walls to allow the light from outside to reflect into the house. Let the space be an extension of your living rooms.
4. Lights
Experiment with string lights or hang bold pendant lights. The space might be an extension of your living room but don’t replicate the entire design. Keep things natural in the balcony area with nature-inspired materials such as burled wood, ceramics, and anything rattan. Keep some candles at arm’s length, if they’re scented then it is better. It helps create a vibe in the balcony space.
4. Shades and Awning
If the balcony is a place where you are looking to spend more time, then it is best you invest in shades or graphic awnings that will help create a vibe and help you create a space that’s not too sunny. Some people also like adding curtains and blinds to their balconies. It is an added maintenance but they do make your balcony look pretty.
The balcony is one place you can experiment with a personal touch. You can add elements that inspire you, and create corners that will be “your” space. If your balcony is big enough, you can also decorate it in a way that welcomes your guests when you entertain them.
